Our Story

Projonmo is a Non-Profit Organization,

Projonmo is not just an organization—it’s a movement born out of belief. The belief that children and adults with special needs deserve more than sympathy. They deserve opportunity, dignity, and a future they can shape for themselves. Founded in 2013 in Guwahati, Assam, and registered under the Society Registration Act of 1860, Projonmo works at the intersection of compassion and action. We partner with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, offering not just therapy and education, but pathways to belonging, independence, and self-expression. From early intervention and inclusive classrooms to skill training and family support, our work is deeply rooted in the realities of those we serve—especially in underserved and marginalized communities. In places where access is scarce and awareness is low, Projonmo becomes a bridge: connecting hope with possibilities, care with progress. What drives us is not charity, but a commitment to equity. We do not “help” from a distance—we walk beside, listen closely, and build hand-in-hand. Projonmo is made up of educators, therapists, parents, professionals, and community members—all working toward one shared vision: a world that celebrates every ability, and leaves no one behind.
