Program
Education gives children and adults with special needs the chance to be seen, heard, and valued for who they truly are, opening doors to a life full of possibility and belonging.
Special Education
At Projonmo, our special education program is led by a team of experienced and highly skilled therapists who work closely with each child to identify developmental needs early and foster growth. We follow a world-class, evidence-based curriculum that is regularly updated to incorporate the latest research and best practices. Our approach combines proven methods with personalized adaptations, ensuring every child builds a strong foundation of essential skills and knowledge tailored to their unique learning style and pace.

Remedial Education
Recognizing that some students need additional support beyond special education, our remedial education program offers targeted reinforcement to strengthen foundational skills and boost academic confidence. Delivered in a nurturing and encouraging environment, our personalized instruction helps students overcome learning gaps and accelerate progress in mainstream schooling. Our dedicated educators are passionate about providing the individualized guidance and encouragement necessary for every student to thrive and reach their full potential.

Schooling
Our Special School, located at Ankur Path, Survey, Beltola in Guwahati, serves children with diverse developmental needs in a safe, inclusive learning environment. Supported by a team of qualified special educators and affiliated with Bal Bhartis Public School, Guwahati, the school emphasizes individualized education plans that respect each child’s strengths and challenges. We strive to create a space where every child feels valued and supported, promoting academic, social, and emotional growth through holistic, child-centered teaching methods.

Livelihood Education and Skill Training
Projonmo’s livelihood and skill training programs are rooted in the belief that every child, regardless of ability, should have access to meaningful opportunities that foster independence and dignity. Our tailored skill-building activities focus on developing economically viable trades such as weaving, incense packing, candle making, block printing, and mushroom cultivation. These programs not only impart practical skills but also encourage self-confidence, creativity, and personality development. By empowering children with these skills, we help pave the way for self-reliance and brighter futures, inviting the community and supporters to join us in this transformative journey.

Early Intervention and Parent Counselling
At Projonmo, we prioritize early detection and timely intervention as critical steps in
supporting children with special needs. Our early intervention services are designed for children
experiencing developmental delays across key areas such as speech and language, gross
and fine motor skills, cognitive functioning, social interaction, and emotional regulation.
We assess and support children who may be showing signs of conditions such as Autism
Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Cerebral
Palsy, Intellectual Disabilities, and Speech and Language Disorders. Using validated
screening tools and developmentally appropriate assessments, our team of therapists and
special educators work closely to create individualized intervention plans tailored to each
child’s unique profile.
Equally central to our approach is the role of the family. We offer structured parent
counselling to help caregivers understand their child’s needs, build positive parenting
strategies, improve home-based communication, and reduce caregiver stress. Through guided
sessions, we support parents in navigating the emotional and practical challenges of raising a
child with special needs.
Our counselling services also extend to strengthening family dynamics and support systems,
recognizing that a well-informed, emotionally supported family is a key contributor to a child’s
long-term success. By equipping parents and caregivers early on, we lay the foundation for
more effective intervention outcomes and a better quality of life for the entire family.
Early support not only improves developmental outcomes but also prevents secondary
challenges, making it one of the most impactful investments in a child’s life.

Day Care Centre for Children and Adults with Special Needs
At Projonmo, our Day Care Centre is a structured, supportive space for children and adults with
diverse developmental needs who require daily assistance and therapeutic engagement outside
of home. We recognize that many families need consistent, high-quality care for their loved ones
while they manage work or household responsibilities, and we’re here to fill that gap with
empathy and expertise.
The centre provides a safe, stimulating environment where individuals with conditions such
as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, Intellectual and
Multiple Disabilities, and sensory or behavioral challenges can engage in meaningful
activities tailored to their needs.
Each day includes access to occupational, speech, and behavioral therapy, as well as
opportunities to build daily living skills, social interaction, and emotional regulation. Our
trained staff ensures every participant receives individualized attention, while being part of a
community that encourages friendship, expression, and inclusion.
We also support transitional care needs, helping children move toward formal schooling or
adults toward vocational training when appropriate. For families, this centre offers peace of
mind, knowing their child or adult family member is cared for in a setting built on respect,
structure, and possibility.
Our Day Care Centre is a place to grow, at one’s own pace, with the support needed to move
forward in life.

Community Outreach
At Projonmo, community outreach is a cornerstone of our work. We actively engage with local families, schools, health workers, and village folk to raise awareness about developmental delays, the importance of early intervention, and the role of parental support. Through workshops, screenings, and resource-sharing, we aim to break stigma, encourage timely action, and ensure that children with special needs are recognized, supported, and included from the start. By empowering communities with knowledge, we lay the foundation for long-term, sustainable change.

Creating Livelihood Options for mothers with CSWN
Through the two centres working at urban and local levels, and with planned home and site visits, we aim to also create a network which helps mothers with less or no financial support to have jobs or roles that can help them take financial decisions for their children’s future. We integrate global patterns and studies that are developing around creation of economic roles for women like stitching, weaving, teaching and so on. We also work towards creating an awareness on why such financial outlook is important. This also gives the mothers a time where they work on a skill and thus help their mental state and also take important steps for the growth of their children.
